A lil better but needs to go higher than 125 db My music only can be measured up to 125 but its a lot louder than that but this app was tha better one out of 9 other free ones and two paid ones i wasted money on

Great app. I'd like to see a peak decibel reading. see what the loudest reading was..

Sounds too loud? Easy time see loudness anywhere. Prevents hearing loss! Use at sport events, concerts... 125 decibels causes permanent damage to your hearing. Protect your hearing.

Adequate You are never going to get absolute accuracy with this sort of thing. However, when comparison tested against my dedicated (expensive) noise meter using a HTC Desire Z, Decibel-O-Meter gave quite similar results. Good enough for most purposes requiring a general indication of noise level. To expect professional results from this freebie would be a bit like someone checking out the wiring in a NASA space probe with a Halfords multimeter!

Good app just not for cell phones Its a good app but cell phone speakers are designed to amplify sound and.self adjust so youll never get a 0 reading in dead silence

Time It would be nice if you could set how long sceen stays active and if you could chang screen back ground color we're neddle is.

Much better This one I got up to 110 as to where the other one I tried stopped at 92
