A snapshot here, a snapshot there. With your Android it’s easy to take spur of the moment pictures because your phone is always at your side. Taking simple point-and-shoot photos is one thing, but you can forget about doing anything fancier that that with your built-in camera app. There are of course photo editing programs that let you edit your pictures after they’ve been taken. But why make things so complicated when there are better photo apps out there? Vignette (demo version) pimps up your pictures as you take them! Read on if you don’t believe me.

Do you like to take spontaneous pictures while going about your day? Now you can leave your big heavy camera at home when you leave the house. The built-in camera on your Android phone can do more than just regular snapshots if you have the right app.
 

Vignette comes with many different settings, effects and gadgets for your Android camera. It’s a camera app that can substitute your default camera and gives you the results you need. Cute frames and picture editing are also included for any picture on your phone.
 

With or without flash, automatic or manual – these are all functions that any standard camera should have. With a good camera app you also need to be able to adjust the picture quality and number of megapixels. Vignette does all of the above! You can even fine tune the white balance, brightness, contrast, color saturation and sharpness. Let’s not forget about the zoom feature either. If simple zooming just doesn’t cut it for you, you can trim your picture frame before you take a picture.
The different shooting modes range from self-timer to fast-shot mode, which doesn’t display your picture on your screen after it’s been taken. This saves you time and let’s you switch quickly between modes. All these fancy features aren’t as important as the picture quality in the end. Amazing effects! But what to do with all the pictures that you didn’t take using Vignette? Thankfully, Vignette (demo version) is one of the few apps that allow you to import and edit any pictures on your phone. Simply select a picture with the import feature and pick the effect you want.
If you need to be able to take quick pictures with a specific setting, you can place a shortcut for any effect or frame directly on your homescreen. And if your desktop is all filled up, you add your most frequently used settings your favorites.
 

What do I get with the full-version?
With the Vignette full-version you can save pictures in any resolution. The demo version only lets you save photos in 0.3 megapixel format.

Vignette’s controls are similar to the ones on your built-in camera app or your regular digital camera. The icons are self-explanatory to make things as easy and painless as possible. Everything you need is located right there on the screen. With the menu button you can access such functions as picture import and settings. Another cool feature for those of you that don’t have a shutter button on your phone: you can take a picture by simply tapping the touchscreen.

The only thing that is a bit annoyingwith Vignette (demo version) is that you don’t get a preview before you select a frame or effect. This means that you have to take a test photo first before knowing how a specific effect looks.

Vignette (demo version) performed smoothly and reliably during our test. It usually takes a couple of seconds to save a picture.
