Slick-looking weather forecast apps were already on my MDA Vario 2 back in the Windows Mobile days. Today there are even more of them. Whether it be the Android 2.1 "News & Weather Widget" or the Milestone's own weather widget, there's a sea of weather apps out there for you to try. Among all these apps, Moxier World definitely deserves some serious consideration as it offers features your current weather app may lack.
Moxier World provides you with the latest weather information including a forecast for the next few days. This app also functions as a world clock showing the current time in any selected city. You can also add any city of considerable size to your list. I could only find the next largest town (with a population of 20,000) next to the community where I actually live. So if you happen to live way out there in the boonies, you might only be able to get the weather from a distant city.
As with any weather app/widget, you shouldn't expect perfect forecasting results. During our test, however, the weather information displayed matched the actual weather outside.
At start-up you'll be asked to enter in a city into a search field on the top of your screen. Larger cities are suggested to you as soon as you type in the first letters. To find smaller cities you may need to type in the entire name and click on the find button.
The first city entered will be displayed as a small preview on the Moxier World main page. There you'll find all the essential information (weather icon, current temperature, time, and date).
The menu button offers you the following options:
Here you can add new cities, update your weather information, change temperature units (Celsius or Fahrenheit), and select either manual or automatic updating. Beyond that you can also arrange the way your different cities are displayed on the main screen.
On the main page you can click on the little image with your selected city to get a more detailed view. At the top of your screen you'll find an icon and a short description describing the current weather.
In the middle of your screen you'll find the current time, date, and temperature including the day's expected high and low.
At the bottom of your screen you can check out the forecast for the coming days, including the expected high and low. You can also see when this forecast was made.
If you have added several different cities to Moxier World, simply slide your finger over to check out the next city from your list.
Bottom line:
The biggest advantage of Moxier World compared to other weather apps and widgets is its ability to display the weather and temperature of several different cities at once. The limited selection of cities does, unfortunately, prevent you from pinpointing your exact location. This shouldn't discourage you from using Moxier World as a back-up since it's free to download.
Moxier World ran smoothly and bug-free during our test.
Moxier World is available to download for free from Android Market.

just downloaded this app....and it's pretty awesome I must admit.
it's the closest thing to the iPhone weather widget available for Android.
There are a ton of pretty weak weather apps out there, but this one def does its job.
