Everyone loves puzzle games—some will even spend countless hours trying to solve/finish puzzles, knowing that not finishing would be too much of a blow to their ego.
Tetris, the 80s classic and godfather of all puzzle games enticed generations of players. Find out if the developers of Phit Droid have managed to create a crowd pleaser in the same vein as Tetris.
Degrees of difficulty
Not only does the game come with 6 different degrees of difficulty, it also boasts 12000 (!) different puzzles. I take my hat off to anyone who sets out to make through each and every puzzle.
Do you know the feeling of wanting to pull out your own hair because you’re so frustrated with not being able to solve a puzzle? Phit Droid has come up with a neat little alternative: the Hint button brings you back on the right track whenever you get stuck in a level. There’s also the option of deferring a level and attacking the next one.
The challenging aspect of game can be fixed using both the different degrees of difficulty as well as the option to change the size of the game field. And if that isn’t enough, there’s also the sliding method.
Variable Designs
If you aren’t too keen and the preset design you can always switch to the 'Classic' one; this gives the game a nice, old-school vibe.
Phit Droid Hall of Fame
You’ll find the ‘Hall of Fame’ under the main menu; only the most successful players have the honour of being listed here. If you’re ambitious enough to want to attempt to join them you can create a profile using your Gmail account and attempt to crack the high scores.
I actually like that Phit Droid doesn’t come with a soundtrack—I’ve never been a fan of repetitive polyphonic sounds when trying to concentrate on solving puzzles.
Bottom line
I recommend Phit Droid. Why? Because it can be downloaded for free from our App Center. It really is worth checking out—whether you’ll enjoy the challenges and have enough patience to attempt – and solve – all of the puzzles depends on your likes and preferences.
Phit Droid’s controls are rather straight forward seeing as the blocks can be dragged and navigated across the screen via Touch. It goes without saying that if you’re touch display has been acting up this option might not work for you.
The game does not call for a high end smartphone; I was able to play the app using my HTC Wildfire, which doesn’t have the reputation of providing the brightest and best performance. Phit Droid’s loading periods are minimal and there were no issues with stability.
Phit Droid is available in the App Center free of charge all the while providing a whole lot of entertainment. The developer earns a bit of pocket money thanks to a small ad banner located which I found to be perfectly harmless.

Cee ray
This game is clearly advertised as a tetris style game. Yeah buddy!! The only similarity is the shape of a few tiles. The only movement on the screen is by your finger, dragging a tile to where you think it might fit. Fun, but not tetris
