Summary
Today we have Mouse Trap on the Android operating table – a cute little game to pass the time.
Help a small mouse find its way out of the mouse trap to escape death by starvation and other terrible calamities.

Features & Use
The main screen of Mouse Trap is made up of one large grey box. Inside this grey box are rectangles of all sorts of different sizes that block the mouse’s road to freedom. Your task is to clear these blocks out of the way to let the mouse escape from the confines of the trap.
You can mover the rectangular blocks in different directions and you can rearrange in them as much as you like until you’ve freed the mouse.
The blocks are set up in a way that makes creating an escape route both time-consuming and difficult.
Sometimes one wrong move can mean starting the level all over again. That’s what makes the game particularly challenging, especially in the higher levels. Whereas in the beginning there are several possible ways to free the mouse, there may be only one solution to the puzzle in the more advanced stages of the game.
The levels are grouped into different worlds, which can only be completed once all the levels in that category have been completed (there are ~100 per world). Definitely enough levels for even the most dedicated Android gamer.
After playing the game, it’s possible to take a look at the highscores in the main menu and compare your scores with other users.
Screen & Controls
The controls of Mouse Trap are very simple. The first couple of levels are part of a tutorial that guides you through the rules and strategies of the game.
I liked the way the tutorial was incorporated into the game, allowing players to learn how to play the game while playing. The levels quickly progress in terms of difficulty. Each level is saved automatically so that you can restart right where you left off.
You can move both the mouse and the obstacles by dragging your finger across the screen. At the top of the screen, there is a status bar that tells which level you are currently on, how long you’ve been playing and how many block have been moved.
Last but not least, you can tap the light bulb icon at the top right of the screen to receive a hint about the current level. You can use a maximum of one hint per hour so that you aren’t just cheating your way through the game.
All in all, I think the game is really clear and logically organized and left me with a really positive impression.
Speed & Stability
I didn’t experience any problems with the app’s stability. The game speed was very good as well.
Mouse Trap doesn’t take a long time to load and I never had to restart the game.
