It doesn’t always have to be time-consuming role-playing gaming or shooter games—pimped out fast cars and races that don’t last longer than 20 seconds sound good, too, right? Drag Racing focuses on the essentials: real cars, lots of upgrades, manual tuning, challenging races offline and online or up against your friends. What more can a race-lover ask for?
Drag Racing is mainly all about tuning and the player’s skills. Every new player has to start out with a modest seed capital with which he/she must purchase a vehicle.
One of the things I love most about Drag Racing is that a lot of the featured vehicles are real-life cars, a few examples being: Dodge Charger, Subaru Impreza, Porsche 911, BMW M6, Audi R56, Porsche Carrera GT, Chevrolet Corvette, Lamborghini Gallardo, Enzo Ferrari, Koenigsegg Agera and the list goes on! Most vehicles have the same three attributes: engine power, weight and grip, and you best mind these attributes, because if you tune up a car that has strong engine power a strong turbo charger without taking the grip into account you run the risk of over-challenging the tires and losing precious seconds.
Upgrades can be purchased with the game’s currency and ‘respect’ points, the former being won with races, the latter with extra tough races or bets.
When playing offline you can step up against computer opponents (with various skill sets) or big boss opponents.
The online races are:
• Face to Face: Face off against an opponent who’s equally skilled and strong.
• Drivers Battle: Both players drive the same vehicle, so it’s all about skills!
• Beat and Race: Same as Face to Face, except that respect points can be earned.
What’s a race like, you ask? You hop on into the vehicle, then hit the accelerator and shift the right gears and activate nitro. When playing Drag Racing very fast reflects and good intuition for doing upgrades and tuning are called for. Aside from the online/offline modes there’s also a pro league.
Bottom line:
Drag Racing has a great cast of vehicles and extensive upgrades, as well as a few tuning options and races. The game is not the most diversified you will ever come across, but if you like the gameplay you’ll have a blast, and if you hate it from the get-go you probably won’t warm up to it.
Screen & Controls
The Drag Racing graphics are quite basic: it’s in 2D and while it’s not mind-blowing it’s perfectly adequate. Controls on the other hand are excellent and self-explanatory.
Speed & Stability
Drag Racing runs very smoothly on the Nexus S, and it should perform well on older devices.
Price/Performance Ratio
Drag Racing is available for free from the Android Market, but there is an ad banner in the menu.

It's always fun to hear what different users have to say about the same game ;)
This is an awesome game. Runs very well on the Droid bionic. Quickly became a favorite among fellow Droid users. We all started competing against each other. Who was advancing quicker, what level and best times in the quarter or half mile. Well then just like in everyone's drive way we started comparing our cars and testosterone fueled jabs!
