Summary

The app with the unfortunately misspelled name Timetabler Class Shedule has been a little lifesaver as far as I’m concerned. It’s proven to be useful, nay essential on more than one occasion, be it getting somewhere on time or keeping an eye on all relevant information. Care to take a closer look at Timetabler? Read on!

Features & Use

Section rating:

Test device: LG Optimus Black
Android version: 2.2.2
Root: No
Modifications: None

Timetabler Class Shedule, as its name suggests, is a virtual timetable. Insert individual times for classes, lectures, seminars, etc. and add details regarding each entry—in other words, create your very own, personalised timetable.

The first thing to do after starting up the app is insert the times in the entry blocks, the next is to add descriptions to the entry, i.e. which classes or lectures they represent, as well as time, date, room number, teacher or professor and category for each individual entry.

There are two week modes available—simply hit the A/B button to check them out and pick one.

Admittedly, it takes quite some time to fill in a timetable, but I can’t think of any way in which the design could have been made simpler. It took me approximately a half hour to fill out my timetable, and for me that half hour I spent was well worth it, considering that I now have all my information on hand at all times.

There are two different views available: when the device is held vertically the day view is display, including all the details. Turn the device horizontally to see a display of the weekly timetable with the abbreviated versions of the details. Very cool indeed! Courses and classes can be colour coded—see settings to put together something you like.

The two different week views are for either 5 or 7 days.

Bottom line:

Timetabler Class Shedule is the ideal timetable app for me, the one I’ve been dreaming of. Please forgive the enthusiastic outburst, but it’s true! Timetabler provides options to organize everything a student might need to know to successfully manage a working week.
If I could add anything to the app’s functionality it would be an option to set tasks and reminders—a sort of internal to-do list. Oh yeah, and also correct the spelling mistake in the title ;)!

Screen & Controls

Section rating:

Great usage of the display; switching between the daily and weekly views by holding the device horizontally or vertically is also a great gimmick. I don’t mind the Timetabler Class Shedule wood-look design. Controls are easy and intuitive to use.

Speed & Stability

Section rating:

Timetabler Class Shedule performs very well overall—it hasn’t crashed on me so far, nor does it lag.

Price/Performance Ratio

Section rating:

Timetabler Class Shedule provides users with everything they might expect from a timetable app, and it’s free to boot! Add banners pop up when connected to the internet, but I didn’t find them to be bothersome.
