Summary
Zombies and football / soccer—a match made in heaven that is sure to make many a heart skip a beat. Depending on where you live in the world (and what your personal interests are), you may have heard of a little thing called the European Football Championship. It's only natural that everyone is jumping on the UEFA bandwagon, including the zombies!

Features & Use
Please note: As might be expected from a zombie genre game, Pro Zombie Soccer does contain some bloody scenes. Please bear this in mind, especially in regards to our younger community members.
Before I start, allow me to utter a word of praise for the developers who have chosen to label themselves as Super Awesome hyper Dimensional Mega Team. I couldn't help but chuckle at this. Good on ya, guys!
Pro Zombie starts off with a short intro. The protagonist must set out and fight the zombies threatening to take over the world, as well as rescue friends along the way. The protagonist's only weapon is a football / soccer ball, and without wanting to spoil the narrative, suffice it to say that that boy can really kick.
There are different zombie types that you must go up against, and the zombies always flock on screen from the right. Luckily, our guy is there to smash the ball at them, either aiming at their heads or kicking the ball at their bodies a number of times. He also has a number of super powers at his disposal, though these can also wreak havoc when not applied thoughtfully.
Level by level you will go through throngs of zombies. High scores can be shared via OpenFeint if you're so inclined.
There is also an option to listen to certain tracks that are played throughout the course of the game from within the options menu again.
While the game does compel you to keep playing (this is where high scores come in), I would personally like to see some sort of level system set into place that allows players to enhance certain abilities as they progress. Combine this with the infinity mode and we've got a winner.
Bottom line:
Pro Zombie Soccer certainly got my attention for a few minutes, maybe even hours. The graphics are fun and the story line absurd and compelling. That said, I lost my drive after a while, specifically after I'd made it through the Hardcore mode twice.
I would say the game's drawbacks are that it doesn't have a reward system (aside from the OpenFeint trophies) and doesn't stretch out for long enough.
Still, it's a good way to kill some time.
Screen & Controls
The Pro Zombie Soccer design is ace. If you like comic book graphics you're in luck. I love that the comic book style makes even the goriest of scenarios funny and tongue in cheek.
Controls are good, too, though navigating the laser takes a short while to get accustomed to, as does selecting super powers via double click.
Speed & Stability
Pro Zombie Soccer performs well overall: stabile, smooth and absolutely reliable. Great job!
Price/Performance Ratio
Pro Zombie Soccer can be purchased for EUR 1.60 from Google Play. There aren't any ad banners, but the game is a bit too short for out liking...
