Hacker's Keyboard is 2,16 Mb and the permissions seem strike us as being perfectly transparent.
In order to make use of Hacker's Keyboard a few settings are required. These settings are explained step by step so that making adjustments is nice and simple.First, select Hacker's Keyboard as your keyboard and activate the keyboard layouts. You may also add dictionaries if you wish.
Hacker's Keyboard provides a good spectrum of keyboards, some of which are not your average, run-of-the-mill layouts (think: Armenian, Arab, Hebrew or Thai).
The keyboard itself seems pretty much like the stock QWERTY keyboard except that there are a bunch of settings options and ways of adapting the layout to suite one's personal preferences. I won't go into every single detail (there are simply too many to list here), but here's an overview of what I consider to be the most important ones:
Keyboard View Settings: here you can choose to change the size and set the keyboard mode, i.e. whether the keyboard is to resemble a computer keyboard or be fitted to a smartphone. You can pick between a 4-row Gingerbread layout or 5-row layout. Aesthetic changes – including colours and themes – can also be made.
Keyboard Behavior Settings: Vibrating keys that make sounds whilst you're typing annoy you? Join the club and switch off the extras. Or else change the feedback to what you want it to be. Gestures can also be set (e.g. for opening or closing the keyboard).
Furthermore, there are plenty of options for setting word completion and auto correct, alternative keys and language options.
While all this is great, there are a few negative points that were brought to our attention. The developers mention that not all languages and layouts will work on every smartphone. I tried a lot of layouts and didn't experience any issues, so fingers crossed the devs have this glitch under control.
We also heard that there have been some problems with the Arabic and Hebrew keyboard on devices that are older than Honeycomb. Lastly, there was mention of some apps not recognising certain keys.
I personally did not experience any of these issues; everything run very smoothly on my test device.
Bottom line:
Hacker's Keyboard impressed me. Tons of settings options that allow users to personalise their keyboards are always a big advantage.
While the developers warn users of certain glitches, I did not experience any issues so I would say go ahead and try out this great keyboard app for yourselves!

Best keyboard on the market I had to reset my device and this is the first thing I re-installed. I have tried a lot of keyboards over the years and this one fits every need I have.

Best persian keyboard . به همه دوستان و عزیزان پارسی زبان سفارش می کنم این کیبورد یعنی " Hacker's Keyboard" رو دانلود کنند. هر کیبورد پارسی زبانی رو که دانلود کردم ایراد داشت اما این یکی کارش حرف نداره. عاااااالی. میرسی.

computer feel Perfect. However, Thai keyboard doesn't work in portrait layout. Otherwise, well done.

Great Easy to use, but it needs to have some sort of way to come up when I play games so I can use the arrow keys.

uninstalled it must have been one of the updates? caused months of terrible perf on Xoom. finally uninstalled it. regular android keyboard interacts w/ web correctly. this just about caused me a nervous breakdown until i had the thought to unin as one of the final ideas. i even emailed big red w/ some insults before i realized this might be it..... feel pretty embarrassed, now, about that,.... i've been advising alot of friends to stay the hell away from droids for another couple years... just plain old DSL would get me thru tons more work.... all i ever do is update and tx problems,.... will be going thru major app reductions on all this new equipment,....

Nice Testing it out on this review.....no lag....just like home keyboad and and able to switch to other languages.

Thanks god it's open source You,sir,and anyone behind this app are genius :shakehand This is the best keyboard I use ever.. ever.. add swype-like method and more dictionaries and it's really a super apps that deserve 6star One more which will really help tabs user is split screen functionality on landacape please ;)

Excellent and familiar I love this keyboard because it resembles the familiar PC keyboard. That's what I wanted for my tablet. Some improvements I would like: - The sound feedback should have a separate configurable volume. I want to use sound feedback (on key press), but it's often too loud with Hacker's keyboard so I disable it. (+and some alternate sound themes would be welcome) - The letters on the keys could be a little bit smaller (font size) so they could fit better. They look a bit too big+bold. - The big-letter preview (when you hit a key) would be a nice feature if it was more aesthetically pleasant (smooth antialiased graphics). Perhaps a bit of transparency. Definitely a good feature to improve upon. - I like the default graphics theme, I wish there were a couple more available. Or better, adjustable brightness+hue of the keys and the letters, with presets. Thanks!

Possible key-logging suspicious activity Google the web for a full report. dear android users please take care using this. As me n a few of my friends have been caught up with someone 'else' probing n possibly trying to gain unsolicited access to our accounts n passwords that were typed through this keyboard.
