I have the Evo and now have some family members that have it. So we now have the opportunity to use qik. The issue is that qik seems to connect sometimes and if I'm the one making the call, it doesn't go thru, after it disconnects from my phone the other persons phone starts ringing and of course I'm not there no more. When we do get connected we can't hear each other. It seems the media volume impacts the video chat. I have a daughter who is deaf so this is a big deal for me. Is there something I might being doing wrong? Is there an update on the way.

According to the Qik site, there are currently problems with the Qik app for the HTC EVO 4G, and the issues are being worked on. If you want to inform someone about the problem, your best option would be to post about it on their site, as they make the app: http://support.qik.com/home

According to the FAQ on their site, the strength of your network connection can cause calls to fail, as the app needs a significant amount of data bandwidth to send video and audio. Check that out here: http://support.qik.com/entries/318936-what-will-result-in-a-video-call-dropping
