FxCamera (Best camera app with extra special effects)

Tank Hero (Great shoot 'em up game!)

Quick Settings (Highly practical. Has all your settings in one place)

Last.fm (Streaming music on your phone. Just like the website)

TuneIn Radio (listen to broadcast radio from across the world)

Ethereal Dialpad (Just a cool little toy - nothing serious

Advanced Task Killer (A must! It kills apps that run in your background and deplete the battery).

Oh and last but not least:

Get the AndroidPIT App Center from our website to have access to all of your test reports, blog posts and forum entries from the comfort of your x10!

Agreed, that thread is a good place to look for recommended apps. you can also look at some forum members accounts to see what apps they have installed on their devices (if they let you see them).
