Ringtone even if device is on mute

Hi community,

I am looking for an app which would allow a ringtone for certain contacts even if the phone is on mute.

Does anyone have any idea?

Thats not quite what I am looking for.

Here is an example: My wife is pregnant and I usually have my phone on mute when I'm in a meeting. However, when she calls, I want my phone to ring even though it is set to mute.

An hint is highly appreciated.

Are you sure the app JustJay is suggesting isn't the right thing?

Based on the description it does exactly what you describe.

Hi, the first time I looked for emergency calls it somehow showed me an app which would send you PGS position when you call.

No, with the second look, I actually found exactly what I was looking for. Emergency Calls does not work on my Galaxy but it pointed me to other, similar apps

You can use AutomateIt to define a rule that when there is an incoming call from specific contact it changes the sound mode to "Normal" and plays your regular ringtone.
On some devices it is required to have another rule that plays any notification sound to "wake" the default ringtone.
