Yesterday I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S II from T-Mobile and I'm really impressed. Everything is smooth and nice, couldn't ask for more. There is one problem though and I don't know if it's me but it seems my battery life is really bad I don't think it even lasted 2-3 hours. I didn't do anything that consumes that much batter for too long. I thought the phone was supposed to have a battery life of up to 8 hours. Anyone know what I did wrong or have the same problem?

It's brand new? The first time you recharge the battery it's important to load it up completly as it helps the battery callibrate itself. I'd let the battery discharge completly and then charge all the way to 100%. That should help the phone take a charge longer. If that doesn't work then you should try using programs like juice defender and a task manager to make sure you're not wasting the power you do have.

I hope that helps but if you are really only getting 2 hours out of a charge and you are using your phone correctly then it sounds like there may be somthing wrong with the handset.

Are you still within the time frame where you can return the device? If so, I'd try exchanging it for another SGS2.

Yeah bought it 6 days ago. I got 14 days to return from the day I bought it. I'll try to head down to T-mobile.
