I'm not interested in battery life because it's differ in one cusom.rom to the other one.
I'm now using TRIP's Endavour_pyramid_TripNDroid_004 and flashing the latest firmware 3.32 with oc kernel_v1.20_1836_MHz.

Official rom? Never heard before. I also heard a lot of problem occurs when using it. Here's the proof?

As for all the problems in the xda forum that people are having with custom ICS ROMs, I have had no issues at all with the Darkforest ROM.
My phone is a lot more responsive and I haven't even thought about OC.

The only issue i had was when i did the initial flash. I didnt update to the required ICS firmware (3.32.401.105) and the phone went on a reboot loop.
I flashed the firmware and re-flashed the rom and all was good... I seriously don't have any issues with my XE. Everything works just like normal.. no lag, no screen flickering and with all the added extras of ICS 4.0.3.

My only advice is to research the ROM you wan't to use and make sure the developers are responsive to bugs and fixes for the ROM's!
And make sure you know what you are doing when rooting and flashing!
