Vielen Dank, Aaron ... I am hoping to find other Android Smart Phone users here in Las Vegas (I was never impressed with the iPhone but I will respect the fact Apple ushered in the era of smart phones & tablets) .....

I'm actually at work, however I will be partaking in the Downtown Art District' First Friday (where I tend to find other Android Smart Phone users) - which entitles one to grab a cocktail & enjoy the festivities :wink:

Do you actually live in Vegas? I could only imagine how awesome it would be to live there.

I do 80% of the year - Las Vegas is fun to visit but not to live in (the economy has truly ruined things for locals - but I can't think of a Country right now that isn't suffering from a poor economy) & please don't let the fact its a desert community make you feel its hot year round (from November to March its cold - cold enough to receive snow), but please be aware from May to September its too hot for me (you will not survive without air conditioning) ...

its a Resort Town, there isn't much of interested (its dormant) until a great event occurs (& there are many throughout the year which are a lot of fun) [my opinion]

because I <3 mid century modern architecture, I cry each time a retro landmark goes (& gets replaced by what I consider an architectural headache)

CITY CENTER = FUGLY

STARDUST = FOND MEMORIES

I encourage people to please visit Las Vegas by planning ahead (decide what event you want to visit for) & when (do not visit in the summer time unless you <3 112 days / 90 nights) ... its the same for when I go to Disneyland (go during the right time) & use the MOUSE WAIT app on my HTC INCREDIBLE :grin:

the bonus(es) are that McCarren Intl Airport is easy to get to (& there are flights going everywhere - some rather affordable), this is a 24 Hour Town (everything is available all day / all night whether its Walmart or a Bar), most of the Resort Casinos do offer Local Discounts (the Local Casinos - which cater to the locals - offer everything from state-of-the-art movie theatres to fine dining (& I don't mean just cheap buffets), Vegas is kind of a tour destination for some music acts (most do not interest me & LiveNation has made it difficult for independent acts to obtain a venue / vendor to play in) - but we have certain festivals (I <3 to attend) from

make it a DISNEYLAND / KNOTTS BERRY FARM vacation (you can land in LAX & take a shuttle to the Resort at either Theme Park), but do so after July 2012 (lots of rehab + a debut of CARS LAND at Disney California Adventure = a zoo of people) ...

CARS LAND

Radiator Springs Racers
A high-speed race through Ornament Valley, inspired by the first Cars film.

Luigi's Flying Tires
You'll hover on air, floating on "flying" tires in the back of Luigi's shop.

Mater's Junkyard Jamboree
A scramble-type ride with Radiator Springs' favorite two-truck.

Flo's V8 Cafe
A new restaurant, featuring Route 66-inspired comfort food, such as mac-'n-cheese and pie for dessert.
