The Huawei Honor U8860 became official as the Chinese company happily showed off the handset running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich only a month after the ICS source code was released.

Normally, most of Huawei’s devices tend to receive little attention because they’re usually forgettable low to mid-range devices, but with the Huawei Honor, it seemingly sits on the same pedestal as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. That’s due to the fact that it’s the second smartphone launched with Android 4.0 ICS in tow right out of the box – as opposed to getting an update for it later on. A 1.4GHz-powered Gingerbread-running smartphone with a rather interesting custom skin. The 4” FWVGA screen and the 8 megapixel camera are the other prominent features on the list.

Huawei really is making some noise in the industry now. Their new Media Tablet 10 is AMAZING. 2 gigs of RAM, a quad core processor that beat Tegra 3 in benchmarks, and an 8MP camera! Cant WAIT for it to be released!!!
