I hate to duplicate post, but I didn't see this forum devoted to the Virgin Mobile flavor of the EVO 4G until I posted in the non-VM forum, so here goes:

I love my new EVO V 4G which I've had for less than a week, but the bloatware on this is even worse than on the LG Optimus V that it's replacing. Simple question, I think: Can I somehow get rid of unwanted pre-installed apps without rooting? Thanks.

Hey Fred
You can not uninstall preinstalled apps from your phone. These apps comes with android OS of your phone, rooting is the only way.
Even if you rooted your phone and install a custom ROM even then you would be having some apps that you do not wish to use but can not uninstall them.
