Android UI development...?? Help me please

Hi all,
i want to become android UI developer, so i have taken basic android course , however i am not known well about UI part.
please can you guide me which are the skills i require to be good at UI designing. Do i need to learn XML programming ...?

Be an expert of Adobe Photoshop, you can design everything on photoshop.

No, you don't need to know how to program XML.
Read about Activities and different Widgets aka View classes

Hi,

You can start with basics on each layout and how properties/values behave.
I studied the following link. Its very basic but you gain confidence to move to next level:

Admin edit: **links are forbidden**

You can then proceed with advanced design.

Regarding the knowledge base; you need not know xml as ADT plugin helps you with that.
However, there are times when you need to build your UI in JAVA code.
