AUTO DISTANCE - Quick distance & height estimation [NEW!!!]

AUTO DISTANCE is a handy camera measuring tool for quick estimation of the distance to any object and the height of object. It shows you the distance to objects seen through the camera lens of your android device. It perform non-contact measurement by using camera and hardware sensor of device.

Auto Distance measure the distance to the target object automatically by aim the cameras at the base of the object. It works in camera live view.

Auto Measure uses the height of the camera lens and its tilt angle to calculate the distance to the object. You can continue measure the height of object by lock the distance and aim the cameras at the top of target object, as shows in the preview image. The only parameter required in this mode is the lens height, which is the height of your camera height to the base plane.

This application is very useful no matter is for indoor or outdoor activities. For example, you can estimate the distance to a building and height of a tree, distance to a building, height of a man, distance from home plate to the pitchers mound , distance to a boat, etc.

ACCURACY:

Hi Jon D,

We are sorry that this tool is just for estimation of the distance. It is highly depends on the device sensor, as we know the device's sensors reading always fluctuate in large scale when we using it for measuring, especially handhold the device. For example, if the real distance is 6.50m, in our testing we can get the result around 6.20m to 6.80m, which is inside the accuracy tolerance +/- 7.50% as stated in application's user guide.
If you wish to have an accurate distance measurement, please try "Manual distance", which let you measure distance from object length or measure object dimension from distance, this app has accuracy +/-2.5% .
