Hi guys! I have a problem with increasing the internal memory of my phone.

I found a youtube video on how to do it but when it comes to installing the skin1980-gt-5360-cmw.zip i got a an error message and the installation is aborted. I tried installing the skin again but no luck. I tried to open the zip on a computer and the file seems fine, no virus. I asked the video uploader about this but he haven't replied yet.

In case you want to see the youtube video, watch?v=27MwfvrE_i0

any help?
I was trying to increase my phone memory capacity from 4Gb to 16Gb on my dual sim android 4.2.1, Quad core 1.2Ghz CPU, phone by using 32Gb mini SD card with Link2SD app, I successfully managed to root my device but I'm not able to access to the internal NAND S-on memory to ad the 16Gb partition.

I think it's not possible to increase internal memory literally. But you can go with another option which i can use, I use my SD card storage as internal memory to install applications and games directly. And my phone is running excellently without any prob.

I have my DroidX replaced when the screen went nuts..(had black spots on the screen - must of gotten hot or something)..Ended up with a DroidX Android version 2.3.4. Definitely updated... Not turning it in because right now grandfathered with unlimited data and messaging. Plus I have all of the car/home attachments. I frequently use it as a hotspot for other users. my SD card is a 1 TB in size and it works perfectly. The techs at Verizon are amazed at this...

Well in my opinion i think you should stop using such tricks to increase your internal memory as what these apps does is they compress your data to save space but problem arises when because of some issues your data may get completely corrupted. I would rather prefer you to buy a SD card with good expandable memory, otherwise try backing up your data in the cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox etc.

well, i still don't think that would be of any use its better to use an 64GB SD card i don't think you are going to require more than that because i am sure you all have dropbox+googledrive+skydrive, and internal memory as well it means you have say you have 16GB Internal+64GB SD Card+3GB Google Drive+3GD Dropbox+7GB Skydrive= 93GB of space i can say you have almost 1TB storage and I don't think you are going to need more space ?????:lol: i mean 93GB is more than enough if you still feel you need more space than you could always purchase dropbox space i.e. i guess if you take the base plan of getting 50GB more space that is going to cost you again around $10 and most of the user can get that 50GB of space available for free by using the .... and still if you fell i need more space than i think you should open a data centre or buy the device that @milton quranda has mentioned... :D

yeah, totally agree. you should be careful with compressing data on your phone just for the shake of increasing internal storage, which sounds kind of weird for me. If you want to expand the storage, then buy microSD card with bigger storage. Just heard recently on Twitter that this person just lost all of his data and apps. That can be one example of how dangerous it is to lose data on your smartphone.
