Its an interesting concept - but I doubt they will be successful. HTC is already struggling itself despite the popularity of the HTC One - I doubt some rouge execs will manage to bring a commercially viable product to the market.

I'm wondering what type of devices they will actually be bringing to the table: mid-range, entry-level, high-end? In the article it says that they are exploring the European markets. In Europe, all the rage as about the Galaxy S4, the Xperia Z and the HTC One, therefore it's hard to forsee how smaller companies will survive. I guess we will just have to wait and see what comes of this project.

Yeah they didnt say about the range of phones but it will be interesting to see what they come up with
