When WhatsApp says: ''unable to connect over a specific Wi-Fi connection'', it is likely that you are on a captive Wi-Fi network.

Captive Wi-Fi hotspots often means that you will have to log in before being able to use the internet. When using captive Wi-Fi, you can do either 2 of things:

  1. Disconnect from the Wi-Fi and use your mobile internet connection.
  2. Log into the Wi-Fi network. This can usually be accomplished by opening the browser on your phone and navigating to your home page.
If you are logged into the system, and it still isn't working, disconnect from the Wi-Fi (and ''Forget'' the connection in your Wi-Fi settings), or contact the system administrator to make sure that secure connections are possible through that Wi-Fi hotspot.

Pleae note, WhatsApp does not support proxy connections.

Hopefully this will help you in the future when using WhatsApp while on the go!>_>

When this happens and it will not send over captive wifi, why does it still not send if you turn the Wi-Fi off and have your mobile data on. why doesn't it send it over mobile data?
