If you need to call internationally you can use iglobecall voip, low rates.

Well, there are the typical ones like Skype, Viber, WeChat...

I would say Skype, it's been a long time companion and when I had to be away from my boyfriend for months on end, it really helped get through it. Great for keeping up with friends from abroad. I don't care what anyones says, I love Skype, I have a special attachement. :wub:

A friend of mine from South Korea swears that KakaoTalk is the best featured messenger available. I've never used it personally, but her recommendation is making me think it must be worth a look.

Line can't be a bad option either, and WeChat is rapidly closing in on WhatsApp's user figures...
