So I come into a issue with my phone, I had someone unlock it, and it had been unlocked for a while then I was going to switch back to att take off the unlock (for tmobile) so I could root it but I got a completely messed up screen on start up look like colored static but the phone still works but has unrecognizable software :/ if any can I would greatly appreciate it

I have a Galaxy S Captivate SGH-i897 already been unlocked tried to use odin 1.85 to install cyogenmod but it had a huge error and doesnt start up right just need it to get back to normal so i can root it.
