Same as always! Just press down the Power and Home button at the same time to take a screenshot. You'll see the screen flash to know it's succeeded!

I don't have an S5, but on the S3 you can't do the power+volume down trick. Try using the edge of your hand (like a karate chop) to swipe across the screen.

You need to press Power and Home though, not Power and Volume Down. That's the button combination for most other devices without a home button like Samsung.
