Samsung Galaxy S4 — Screen went black on galaxy s4

The other day I dropped my phone in the driveway. The screen did not crack but there was a small purple spot in the lower right corner of the screen. This morning I woke up and the whole screen is pretty much black. The phone still works but I can't see through the black on the screen. Do I replace the whole screen or will the new one just go black too due to something else being wrong with the phone?

this is a hardware problem.. get a service
