Motorola Moto G — Internet authentication problem

Hello
Today I received Moto G phone. Tried for initial setup with great enthusiasm.
For Wi Fi connection - after entering password notification comes - "connecting"..and then-" Authentication problem "
Tried no. Of times after switching off. Not succeeded for initial set up.
Some one please suggest further action.

Same problem with my new 2014 model Moto G.
Authentication problem when connecting to my wpa2 protected wifi.
No problem when connecting to my unprotected guest wifi.

Madhava: have you tried with an unprotected wifi ?
