Motorola Moto G — Please help me with root

Hello I have read lots of tutorials on how to root my Motorola G but when I try to enter the oem unlock code I get this.

(bootloader) Unlock code = XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

(bootloader) Password incorrect!
(bootloader) OEM unlock failure!
FAILED (remote failure)
finished. total time: 0.313s

Im 100% sure the code is correct I have done it diffrently over 20 times and Im still stuck.

Please Help

Hey @Doppling, so you've got the official bootloader unlock code from Motorola and are using ADB, yes?

The command window entry should simply be: fastboot oem unlock <20-digit unlock code>

And that should be it. If you have an AT&T Moto G I believe the bootloader is not unlockable though.

flash 4.4.2 frimware first then try again
