Xperia X10 Mini - Whether it can upgraded to 2.2 Android version

Hi There, Please let me know whether I can upgrade my Xperia X10 Mini to Android version 2.2 from 2.1. As I was succesfully upgraded to 2.1 but when ever i tried to see is there any software update, my phone always returned the software is uptodate.

Please advise.

Hi David. Unfortunately, Sony didn't release any further updates beyond 2.1.1 for the x10 mini. There are several custom roms using various android bases (Gingerbread, ICS, and Jellybean and even a partially working KitKat cm11 rom) available over on XDA, to use these you'll need to install a custom recovery first. All the relevant information and how-tos can be found here. As always, read up on what's needed before attempting anything. You will get help but it's a pretty low activity device.

Hi Sinkster, Thanks a lot. I agree probably will get a new phone as my office mail need Android 2.2 or above for configuring that into Android device.
