i have Alcatel Onetouch Idol X+ device. I was asked to update as a new firmware was available when i checked the settings and system updates. After downloading the 193.5Mb update file. I clicked to INSTALL.
This is when the phone device rebooted and didnt switch on.There is a continuous black screen, The device is not responding anyhow. Can anybody tell me how can i fix this?

Try a soft reset first, if you haven't already. Hold the power button for 7-8 seconds to reboot it. If that doesn't work, perform a hard reset. You haven't said which firmware you're upgrading from or to, but if you were on 4.2/4.3 you'll probably need to wipe the data to upgrade. You do this by pressing and holding the Power key and Volume up key until the startup screen appears, then highlight factory reset using the volume keys and confirm with the power key. If this doesn't work then you may have to return the phone if it's in warranty.
