How to filter my existing contacts

I have my contacts sinchronized with google in my gmail account (my phone and computer have therefore my contacts synchronized). I can see in my phone the contacts cotegorized by groups as I have them in my phone and gmail account.

My question:
*I don't know how to filter in my phone the existing contacts by group*. So for example one of my groups is "Academia". I would like to be able to filter in my phone by "Academia" and see all the contacts that I have in this group. I can do it in the gmail account (contacts section) when I am using my computer but I cannot do it using the phone. This function is very useful since I have around 1000 contacts and when I searched by group it facilitates my searching process.

I would appreciate any help on this
