Need support to move whatsapp on another phone

I have recently bought OnePlus one mobile and want to move whatsapp from MI
3 which I am using currently to OnePlus one.

I followed the steps as outlined in the following link however I am facing issue.

  1. I stopped using whatsapp on MI3.
  2. I copied whatsapp folder from MI3 to 1+1 at the same location.
  3. I installed whatsapp on 1+1.
  4. On launching after validation process it picked up the backup and I can see the messages.

The issue I am facing is it is showing messages only till November, 22 and not till today's date. I factory resetted the 1+1 phone and followed the steps again but same issue. Please could you help solve this issue.

Well, the methods you have followed are correct ! It shouldn't been happening anyway try checking your MI3 WhatsApp account and see if you can see the recent messages over their ?? I yes then I would say try performing the backup again also make sure that the time and data over you'r MI3 is correct because sometimes this problem hits because of date and time. (lightbulb)

Thanks John.

Issue fixed.

I again took backup, deleted the whatsapp folder from 1+1 and moved the whatsapp folder to 1+1
deleted all files from datastore folder except the last backup file. :)
