sd card reader not working on THL5000 Smartphone

The SD card reader has stopped working on my THL5000 smartphone, when I go to storage the external SD card is not listed as storage option or listed with internal storage or phone storage and the mount/unmount SD card is greyed out even though the external SD card is in my phone,I have tried wiping cache partition in recovery mode,erasing phone storage,doing a factory reset and trying a different microsd card.Anybody know how to fix this?

Are you sure the "write protection" (if there is) on your SD card is disabled or have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting it? If all else fails, maybe it's a defective one and should replace it, but if it works on another smartphone, it could be the THL5000 that has the problem.
