Samsung Galaxy S3 — Factory reset my Galaxy S3 and now it won't turn on.

I just got the s5 yesterday and I was wanting to give my old s3 to my friend. I got all the pics and everything I wanted off the s3 and decided to factory reset it and get rid of all the apps and stuff that were left. Well it reset and everything, but it turned itself off and now it won't do ANYTHING. I've tried all combinations of pressing the volume up/down, power and home buttons and I still get nothing. I pulled the battery out for awhile and tried to power it on and put it on the charger for a couple hours. It just won't turn on at all. Help please!!
