HTC doesn't want Stock Android for the One

Loie Favre

HTC is sticking to its guns: the company has confirmed that they've made no plans to equip their flagship the HTC One with stock Android. Sense 5 is where they'll stay and they're happy about it.

Samsung got Oohs and Aahs during the Google I/O opening keynotes, as they presented an unlocked Galaxy S4 running on a stock version of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. This hot new device can be purchased directly from the Google Play Store for $649. Many had hoped that other manufacturers would jump on the bandwagon with this news, but HTC is resting on its laurels. TechnoBuffalo interviewed the company who said that they had no foreseeable plans that would mesh their popular headset with stock Android.

Yesterday's new revelation is hot off the printer and I can't imagine that other manufacturers would decide to follow suite right away. It could be a matter of time before more make like Samsung and adopt stock Android. Is this something that you would like to see happen?

I definitely would want to see this happen. This doesn't only give the customers more choice but would also make the phones more interesting for diferent people. And just maybe combat... aham fragmantation.

If I where HTC I wouldn't just say it ain't happening but would atleast try it out. Besides they really need to sell some phones and the one is really beautiful and lots of people would definitely would want a htc one in stock android.
