While the leak of 4.2.2 has been available for HTC One users for a while now, it seems that the word is finally getting out over an official OTA update that is planned within the next little bit. Andrey Kormilstev, a country manager for HTC in Russia has said via Twitter that the rollout of Android 4.2.2 should be happening by mid-June, so HTC One users, rejoice!
On his Twitter Account, Andrey Kormilstev has come out saying, to the point, that the update is definitely in the works and planned to be released OTA.
With the latest announcement of the HTC One Google Edition and also the rumors behind HTC One users being able to choose between the HTC Sense UI and pure Android, it seems like HTC is getting their One user base up to the same point with the 4.2.2. upgrade and also providing some Sense 5.0 tweaks. Could this be HTC ramping up their own proprietary ROM in order to sway users away from the pure Android version?
