HTC has definitely been down a bumpy road. Though things did look up with the launch of the HTC One, their heralded flagship, it was far from smooth sailing for the manufacturer after that point. It now looks like HTC wants to thank its customers (and acquire more) by offering a nice new deal to motivate some speedy purchases of the One: HTC is offering $ 25 worth of Google Play Credit when you buy the headset by July 15th.
So here's how to get your free $25 Google Play credit: first you need to buy the thing. It's available with pretty much all mobile carriers like AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, and here is the catch, only in the US. Second gimmick: you must purchase the phone from now until July 14th and have registered before July 15th. Once you are done doing all of this and you've received a promo code within 72 hours of registration, you can splurge your newly acquired credit on music, movies and the hoard of apps available in the Google Play store. Looks like the credit expires by November 30th 2013.
If you have bought an HTC One, you can still have a chance at the bargain. All you do is find your serial number by going into your phone under ''About'' found in settings. Then you enter your private information and this number into the website to be able to get the credit as well. This is one way HTC is thanking its users for their support and clientele.
Are you able to take advantage of this offer? Many AndroidPIT readers are HTC One fans and I can see many of them getting pumped about this juicy piece of news. Do you think that this is a good promotion strategy to entice people to buy the headset?
