Motorola has always churned out pretty decent smartphones in the past, and their maiden Android attempt, the Motorola Droid, has a special place in my heart as that was my first Android-powered smartphone that I’ve ever used. Well, it seems that Motorola’s upcoming X Phone has been spotted in an extremely blurry image, where it could very well be known as the Motorola nXt.
Of course, what you see above is not an official render, but the name Motorola nXt itself does raise even more questions, including whether this could very well be the X Phone that has made its fair share of rounds around the rumor mill for some time already. Apart from that, will the final release of the Motorola nXt actually put to bed the X Phone name once and for all, or could we actually be faced with a slew of X devices sometime down the road? All in all, it seems that the leaked image above lends more questions than answers.
Some of the alleged specifications of the Motorola X Phone include a 4.7” display, which is smaller than the minimum 5” screen size that most of the other handset manufacturers prefer these days, although it will still carry Full HD resolution, accompanied by a 16-megapixel shooter at the back with a 5-megapixel camera upfront. Expect NVIDIA’s Tegra 4i chip that sports A9 cores to accompany the Motorola nXt in addition to an integrated LTE radio, all crammed into a chassis that measures no more than 8mm.
We do have high hopes that more about the Motorola nXt or Motorola X Phone will be revealed in due time, so stay tuned!
Update: It seems that the above render is a fake, so we are back to the drawing board as to what the Motorola X Phone would look like.
