Nexus 5 leaked in press images and Google Play [update]

Sterling Keys

Hey! Yeah, you! Have you heard about the Nexus 5? Well, I guess if you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past little while then it is possible. But, if you’re like the rest of us here at AndroidPIT, you most likely know everything there is to know about this device from LG and Google and it hasn’t even been released yet. Well, here’s a little bit more to feed your curiosity as we wait for that impending official announcement: some press images of the Nexus 5.

A Canadian tipster has leaked the following press images showing a Nexus 5 with some Telus branding on it. In it, the Nexus 5 showcases what looks to be the newest launcher with Android 4.4, which is expected to be called the Google Experience.

Other than the images, not much else has been uncovered. But really, what more do you need to know? We’ve got an idea behind the technical specs. We’ve got rumour after rumour and leak after leak. All we need now is for Google to come out and give us a break.

And what better way for a break than in the form of a KitKat styled update and Nexus 5 announcement. If Kris has got it right, we could be seeing some good news on Monday, October 28th.

...and that didn't take long. The US Google Play Store is showing the icon for the Nexus 5 listing right now along with some descriptions of the device.

Right now, all you can see is that it will be starting at $349 for the 16GB model which means that the price for the the 32GB version will be topping above $400 to begin.

Other than the most official thing we've seen so far in terms of the Nexus 5, nothing else is really known. However, if it is starting to show itself on the offical Play Store, I think it is safe to assume that an announcement for this long anticipated device is just around the corner.
