Features & Use
Pocket Clothier, like we mentioned above, is a simulation game where the player stars as the manager of a small fashion boutique. The purpose is initially to expand the store and create new clothing to suit the needs of customers. At the beginning, the user will have to learn many aspects of the game and it may seem like an overwhelming amount of information.
The first challenge is to draw up the design of a outfit and hiring your first employees. The clothes will sell better if they're shown to customers, for example, women's clothes sell better if they are near to similar items. Having accessories and mannequins around also help with sales. It's also important to ensure the customers have a free changing room during peak hours, which is when your store gets more traffic.
The mechanism of the game has repeated over the years and brings with it a certain level of repetition and redundancy. There is always something new to build and new tasks to complete. That being said, the game lacks novelty items. Sure you can build new floors to the store and jazz it up when business is going well. The concept of the game, however, remains the same all the way to the end. Once you've mastered the game, there are no more surprises.
The player can still deal with other things like the micromanagement of the store and decide how to organize the production of individual suits and clothing, as well as what to prioritize. Certain functions don't seem to work with regular fashion and even the waiting time in the early stages of the game shows the game's limited potential.
Pocket Clothier was well made and initially offers a great level of fun. Unfortunately, the advanced sates of the game lack diversity and the game doesn't attain its full potential. Even if some of the mechanics of the game could be improved, it's unlikely that the game will updated any time soon.
Screen & Controls
Pocket Clothier has a very original and cool graphic style, which is a trademark for this developer. The soundrack, on the other hand, is really the pits, so I advise you to turn them it off as soon as you start the game.
Speed & Stability
Pocket Clothier worked great the entire time and didn't have any problems to report.
Pocket Clothier can be purchased for $4.93 in the Google Play Store. Before buying, you should try the demo version, which includes ads and lasts for only 15 minutes.
