[Poll] HTC One Arrives Today on Major US Carriers. Are You Buying It?

Today, the HTC One is finally going up for sale on three major US carriers – Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. The phone has racked up a number of extremely positive reviews and we have reason to believe it will sell like hotcakes....at least until the Galaxy S4 goes on sale.

Here's the pricing information for the HTC One, carrier by carrier:

  • T-Mobile: The HTC One costs $99.99 up front, as well as $20 monthly for 24 months. This is the result of T-Mobile's new strategy which does away with contracts and instead allows you to switch carriers at any time. You can also purchase an HTC One for $579.99 flat. The phone shops with a free car dock for a limited time.
  • AT&T: The HTC One costs $199.99 on a 2-year contract, or can be purchased for $599.99 flat.
  • Sprint: The HTC One costs $99.99 if you sign up for a 2-year contract and bring your own number from your previous carrier. If you don't bring your own number, the phone is $199. So that's that.

I, for one, would choose T-Mobile's plan since I would rather not be burdened by a contract. A down payment of $99 seems like a great deal for such a top-drawer device.

Now for the poll!

Why should I buy it? Ugly metal feeling? HTC Update Politics? I like the plastic shine of a tech powered s4;)

While I think the One is an awesome phone, it's not for me. I need expandable storage and replacable battery. I have a Note 2 and I won't be changing it any time soon. It's the best smartphone available.

    I agree with Devos.
I also have the N2 and with my 2 extra betteries I could watch the whole Day Video if I need it, e.g. for a long train ride...
and also 32GB arent enough for that, that's why I am happy to have my 64GB microSD, which was even gifted by Samsung...
