System Administrator – Student Trainee / Intern
Currently we are looking for a working student or for an intern who can help us setting up and maintaining our continuously growing internal infrastructure, and who enjoys working in a dynamic atmosphere. Your Responsibilities:
- Set up new work stations (PCs, monitors,etc.) and connect them to our intranet.
- Help the rest of the team with the IT tasks they are unable to cope with (set up printers, fix network problems, install software, connect laptops to the WiFi, etc.).
- Assist our team with the migration of their e-mail accounts to Google Apps.
- Evaluate solutions for simplifying the management of the employees' user accounts for several internal services.
- Check and clean up our ethernet cabeling (check connectivity, connect cables to patch fields, setup some wire channels, etc.).
- Configure our telephone system.
Your Profile:
- You have a solid knowledge with computers in general, and a basic knowledge and practical experience with the setup of LANs.
- You can configure Windows PCs as well as Macs and Linux servers (or at least you know one or two of them and you are willing to learn about the others rapidly).
- You are helpful, a real teamplayer and you enjoy solving technical difficulties.
- Fluency in German or English language.
