There really isn't a whole lot that we don't know about the Google Nexus 5 at this point. First there was the leaked service manual that pretty much dropped all of the technical details of the device. There was also the little situation where Google accidently put the device on the Google Play store with a $349 price tag for the 16 GB model of the phone. Now thanks to @evleaks we now know that there is also another addition to the Nexus 5 family this year. There will be a white version of the phone ahead of the official launch, although we don't know exactly when that will be.
Just in case you have not been in the loop about the Nexus 5 from the days when everything was up in the air to where we are now, the device is set to come with Android 4.4 KitKat and will have a 4.95 inch display at 1080p and will have a 2.3Gz Snapdragon 800 chip.. The device is also set to sport 2GB of RAM and the LTE radio in this device is set to be actually activated.
The real question on everybody's mind though is the release date of the long awaited device. We looked previously at October 15th but that date came and went without so much as a peep from Google. There were also invites sent out for an October 24th date but that just turned out to be a meet and greet event for some members of the public. The latest date that has been set is October 31st but that date is fast approaching and Google has not even sent out event invitations yet.
It still remains to be seen as to whether these predictions are correct but there is no doubt that the Nexus 5 is one of the most highliy anticipated phones of the year. I know I will be trying to get my hands on one as soon as it comes out.
What do you think of there being a white version of the Nexus 5? Do you like it? Please leave us a comment below and we will get back to you.
