The Verizon HTC One has had its fair share of rumors in the past, where we have seen alleged specifications prior to confirmation of the smartphone arriving on the Now network. Well, chalk up another rumor that can be attributed to the Verizon HTC One - where a reasonably famous Android developer who goes by the moniker @LlabTooFeR on Twitter has dropped word that the Verizon HTC One will arrive with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean right out of the box alongside Sense 5.
Should this particular rumor of the Verizon HTC One arriving with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean by default, it would mean we can also usher in the features that have been integrated by the new Sense, too. This would clearly place Verizon’s attempt at the HTC One as the first American-based HTC One that will come with the latest version of the operating system right out of the box, as its main rivals, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, are still playing the waiting game when it comes to the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 updates for the respective HTC One handsets.
Just what will Android 4.2.2 deliver for the HTC One? For starters, you will be able to enjoy a bunch of new features including the standard Daydream screensaver as well as lock screen widgets that are default with Jelly Bean 4.2, in addition to quick toggle on notification which lets you meddle with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and Airplane mode among others.
Not only that, Blinkfeed will also gain support for Instagram feeds, letting you access photos that have been posted on the hugely popular photo sharing app, accompanied by other supported platforms, Twitter and Facebook included. We await with bated breath on an official HTC One release date by Verizon, where tentative leaks point to anywhere from August 1st until September 5th.
