Authored by: Steven Blum — Dec 23, 2011

While manufacturers like Samsung and Motorola are promising Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates in Q1 2012, Sony has also jumped on board the update train, promising an official Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for the S and P tablets very soon.

The Sony Tablet ™ technology is evolving and we want to inform you about the latest updates.

We are pleased that will be available for the Sony Tablet soon an update to Android 4.0. For details and the date we will inform you in due time here. Recently, we published the Software Development Kit for the Sony Tablet P. For more information about these and future beta updates can be found on Sony Tablet evolution.

The Tablet S is seeming to enjoy great popularity, especially as a remote control. Even the unusual form factor has been well-received. With the prospect an imminent Ice Cream Sandwich update, it looks like the tablet might become even more popular soon.
