Check Out This Awesome Origami-Inspired Smart Cover for the Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Authored by: Steven Blum — Nov 17, 2011

The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime isn't even out yet but that hasn't stopped artists from developing innovative accessories for the device. This smart cover, developed by an Italian company, can hold the Prime in either a landscape or portrait position quite beautifully. It can even raise the device ever so slightly to be used as a keyboard.

While some may say this design shamelessly rips-off the iPad's smart covers, I would say they're wrong. While the covers for the iPad fold up into triangles, this cover folds into more elborate shapes and sizes for both landscape and portrait modes. The smart covers are currently available at for $39, but I'm guessing you'll first want to buy a Transformer Prime
