Facebook for Android Gets Video Upload

Authored by: Steven Blum — Jun 27, 2011

After a lengthy beta-testing period, the new Facebook 1.6 has finally arrived on Android. As expected, the update brings with it:

  • Video uploads
  • Access to pages
  • Improvements to the news feed, allowing more posts to load natively in the app.

Other than these improvements, there's not much else to say. It's still impossible to upload a profile picture, "like" a comment or tag a friend. And yet the app remains among the most popular for Android.

If you find any other changes, let us know below!

  • Seriously, what's the deal with Facebook not making the NECESSARY CHANGES and adding useless features like video upload!
