We'd been hearing rumors about this for a while now but Sprint just made it official: starting May 8th, a WiFi-only model of the Xoom will be available through all retail channels for $599.99. Perhaps this will help the tablet's sales, which have been nothing to write home about.
Still, I wonder if anyone will consider shelling out so much for a Xoom, given that a Galaxy Tab is $499.99 and an ASUS Eee Pad Transformer can still be found for $399.99.
