At a press event in Tokyo, Sony announced an upcoming framework for Android devices called “PlayStation Suite” which will bring classic PS One titles onto Android 2.3 or later devices which are PlayStation Certified, a process that Sony will undertake with hardware manufacturers to “ensure the delivery of PlayStation quality experience across various devices.”

The PlayStation Suite will be hardware neutral, but to ensure a “quality experience”, devices will have to receive certification before they can install the upcoming PlayStation Store service, but once certified, they will be able to use the PlayStation Store to download and install games. Unfortunately, they have not made any titles official, but some announcements should be made soon.
Sony plans to have the whole system up and running by year's end. We can likely expect more details about the PlayStation Suite during MWC, as the Xperia Play, the first PlayStation Certified device, will be displayed then.
