The AndroidPIT app is the best way to keep up to date on all of the latest hardware and software news, reviews, and rumors from the AndroidPIT website on your smartphone or tablet. If you haven't yet downloaded it, now is definitely the time thanks to a completely redesigned interface in the latest update. Here’s what else is new.
The redesign has been implemented thanks to a lot of great user feedback (you guys are the best!), but we've also looked at exactly how our app is being used, and the resulting improvements are plain to see. One of the biggest innovations in version 2.3 is the simplified navigation, which makes the most important areas of our website (News, Apps, Hardware, and forum) easier to reach.
Another new feature is the home screen page where users now land in the News by default, but this can be changed in the app settings if you like. And speaking of the News: from now on you can swipe to the left or right while in articles quite easily to go to the next or previous news story, thus removing an annoying detour via the News overview.
Here are all of the important new features at a glance:
- Completely redesigned navigation
- More intuitive home screen
- Swipe function to scroll between items
- Subscription function for comments
- Simplified registration
- Full screen when scrolling in the News, Apps, and Hardware
- Alarm function for comments
- Revised settings
- App will prompt you before everything is marked as read in the forum
- Other minor bugfixes
The update to version 2.3 is now available in the Google Play Store for download now, but as always, it can take a while until ever user sees the new version.AndroidPIT: Apps, News, Forum
